Aristotle, student of Plato and teacher of Alexander the Great, added ether. The 5th element represents the secret of the world’s existence, the immaterial, incorruptible and unchangeable energy that binds the other elements. It is the catalyst that connects and balances everything, creating harmony and balance.
On the occasion of the 2400-year anniversary since Aristotle’s birth in Ancient Stagira, and the official proclamation of 2016 and 2017 as “Aristotle anniversary years” by UNESCO, the Tourism Organisation of Halkidiki, in collaboration with the Hotel Association of Halkidiki, is developing the “FIFTH ELEMENT” , a program of experiences and activities that aims to initiate visitors to the mystery of the FIFTH ELEMENT, the essence of their existence, their own “ETHER”, through a deeper approach of the other four elements.
Vision in the Air
Aristotle taught his pupils while walking. In the mornings he taught advanced students and in the afternoons beginners. For physical exercise, meditation or photography, Halkidiki highlights its 10 most beautiful sunrises and 10 most spectacular sunsets.
